FUNTOPIA!

As you are aware the PFA has organised a combined fundraiser and social event for our school community at Funtopia on Friday 14th September from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.  Funds raised from this event will support Mr Anthony Hyde during this very difficult time.

Last week you would have received an order form for tickets to the event and a book of raffle tickets for the raffle that will be drawn on the night. If you wish to pay by cash when ordering your tickets for Funtopia please send the order form and money in a clearly marked envelope to the school office or you may wish to come in and pay by EFTPOS.

Raffle tickets you purchase, together with the money, need to be returned to the office by Thursday 13th September. The prizes are:

1st Prize:  Apple iPad

2nd Prize: $100 Sun Theatre Voucher

3rd Prize: Book Hamper

Learning Conferences

As part of our Reporting and Assessment processes, the second of our formal Learning Conferences (Parent Teacher Interviews) will be held on Wednesday 19th September between 2:00pm and 8:00pm. These interviews are important in the partnership between parent and school regarding the education of your child.

To facilitate the Learning Conferences all children finish at 1:00pm on Wednesday 19th September.

The Learning Conferences will provide the opportunity to celebrate achievement and discuss progress regarding learning goals as expressed in your child’s written report in June. Your child’s portfolio will be given to you during the Learning Conference.

The meetings will be scheduled every 12 minutes. We understand that in some special cases a longer time will be required and if this is the case, you are asked to make alternative arrangements with your class teacher.  Attendance at these meetings is expected.

Bookings are now open and are to be made online at www.schoolinterviews.com.au  and our event code is ub26c

Fathers' Day Events

Breakfast and Footy Colours Day

Our Fathers’ Day Breakfast will be held this Friday 31st August from 7:30am until 8:45am. Breakfast will once again be hosted in the undercover area.  And don’t forget to wear your Footy Colours to school - dads and children!

The menu will consist of:

  • Bacon and Egg Rolls
  • Fresh fruit
  • Juice

Fathers' Day Stall

Following the Fathers' Day Breakfast, we will host our traditional Fathers’ Day Stall. There are many gifts to choose from ranging in price from $2.00 - $6.00. It is up to each family to decide what would be an appropriate amount to spend.

These events don’t run without the support of our parent community. You would have received a CareMonkey notification asking for volunteers for the breakfast and the stall. It would be great if you could assist.

School Disco

This year’s School Disco will held on Thursday 20th September (second last day of term) between 6:30pm and 8:00pm in our community hall. This is always a popular event  for our children and should prove a huge hit once again! More details next week.

Have a wonderful week

God bless
