When was the last time you were nervous?

The last time I was nervous was probably when I needed to speak in front of parents at the information night. I wasn’t sure how many parents were going to turn up but it turned out to be a great night!

What would a "perfect" day look like for you?

A perfect day for me would start with a run that would finish at a beautiful beach and I would then swim in the ocean to cool off. I would then meet family and friends for a delicious and slow breakfast with coffee.I would then spend some time in a garden with a great book. A walk with my dog Ronnie before a yummy dinner with my husband and children.

What super power would you like to have?

The superpower I would most like to have is the power of silence – sometimes I just want peace and quiet!

What do you miss most about being a kid?

Probably the freedom to just play and not have to think about what to cook for dinner, where did I need to be in the next 10 minutes or what meetings do I have on today

If you were to tell one person "Thank You" for helping me become the person I am today, who would it be and what did they do?

My family – they provided the kind of support that challenged and encouraged me to keep improving and to value friendships, family and holidays more than material things

What is something you learned in the last week?

I learned that when you’re pregnant and you stand for almost 5 hours without sitting, you WILL go home with very large ankles.

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?

“Free time”? What is this “free time” you speak of??   What a funny question...

Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?

I was recently reading the paper when my 2 & 1/2 year old daughter pointed to Elvis Costello and screamed out, “Look, there’s you, Mummy!”

What did you want to be when you were younger?

I definitely wanted to be a stunt woman. The thought of spending my time pretending to be blown up, falling off buildings and flying through the air seemed like the best career choice for me.

If you were to tell one person "Thank You" for helping me become the person I am today, who would it be and what did they do?

I would tell one of my former students how much I learnt from them about courage, strength, resilience and overcoming adversity. This student taught me that regardless of what life can throw at you, you can still be the person you were always meant to be.
