Head of Junior School

Good afternoon I trust this edition of the Crier finds you well,

The weeks seem to be flying by in a flash and it is hard to believe that we are already at the end of Week 4. The students across the school are all working hard on assessment tasks, topic/unit testing and more broadly presentations and evaluations of curriculum. Our littlest students have nearly completed their first 6 months of school and at the other end of the school the final countdown is about to commence.

Junior School continues to celebrate inclusiveness and every Friday our Junior School comes together for our ‘Friendship Friday’ program. These cross age activities enable students from Prep-Year 4 to participate in a range of fun and engaging sessions with teachers from across the Junior School. It is a great opportunity for students to engage with teachers other than their classroom teacher and explore interests and hobbies from across a broad range of options.

The Friendship Friday program has seen the buddies program blossom and the transition to school for many of our little ones be seamless and smooth.

Our Junior School continues to grow and I warmly welcome our new Term 2 families to our school community. With many enquiries and enrolments for 2020 already under way and our prep 2020 classes filling I look forward to many more wonderful stories to share with you through the CRIER.

May God bless you all.

Take care,

Mary Swoffer
