2020 Swimming Carnival

As you may be aware, our 2020 Swimming Carnival is being held tomorrow, Thursday 6th February. On Thursday 30th January I sent home information and permission notes for parents to read and return by Monday 3rd February.

I share your disappointment that this could not be a full swimming carnival this year but I assure you there will be many more opportunities to cheer on their classmates throughout the year.

All 50m swimmers will travel to the carnival by bus and arrive at the pool at 9:15am under the supervision of a teacher. All 25m and non swimmers will stay at school and follow through with their school day as normal. At the conclusion of the carnival, parents will need to be at the pool no later than 11:30am to collect their children if they wish to. All remaining children will be bused back to school for a normal end of the day procedure at 12:00pm. Please ensure your child’s name is marked off with the supervising teacher. Parents of Infants children who are attending the Carnival are asked to organise transport to and from the pool as there will be no bus.

The Scully Park Pool Canteen will be open and we ask that all children are accompanied by a parent if using the Canteen and that no products which contain nuts are purchased.

The Toddler Pool area will be closed on Thursday 6th February, 2020. The safety of all children is paramount and I appreciate your support and understanding in this matter.

Tomorrow Thursday 6th February children participating will need to:

Wear their full sports uniform including school hat

Bring enough food and water to last through the Swimming Carnival

Bring their swimming bag to school with swimmers, sunscreen, towel, goggles etc. Children will change at school.

Related notes are linked below for your information if required.
