Math Challenge Day

Math Challenge Day

On Thursday the 31st of October, St Columba’s held its first Math Challenge Day. With students from Years 4-6 working through a variety of mathematical problems, exploring Computational Thinking, Geometry, Ratio and Systematic Thinking. The students had a fantastic time working in small groups to approach and solve the tasks, with Anton even describing it as the best day ever! We focused on 4 key elements during the day; everyone can learn math, there is no such thing as a math person, mistakes are an important part of learning and speed isn’t important!
