Australian Jobs allows users to explore a wide range of factors. Bachelor of Design (Digital Technologies) at Deakin
Develop the technical skills required to delve into software design, user interface design and design for augmented and virtual realities.
This 3-year course combines software design, immersive virtual reality and augmented reality experience design, mobile app design, web design and creative arts design skills to support employment outcomes that differ from those of traditional IT or creative arts degrees. This intersection of technical and artistic skills offers graduates opportunities to extend their design skills into the application of technological products.

Life as a barrister and the pathways that can lead you there.
Becoming a barrister is about your skills and abilities, not what school you went to or what ATAR you got. The Bar has diverse membership from many ethnic backgrounds. You can come to the Bar at any age – the youngest barristers are in their 20s and the oldest are in their 80s. The Bar is short for the Victorian Bar which is the professional association representing over 2000 barristers in Victoria.
Becoming a Barrister:
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Students should send their CV to
students@vicbar.com.au, along with a cover letter stating the following information:
- What year level of school you are currently completing;
- Whether there is a particular area of law in which you are interested, and if so, why;
- Whether there are particular dates on which you wish to do work experience and
- Whether you have a particular preference for a male or female barrister, or any other relevant preferences.

Work experience NGV 2020
The National Gallery of Victoria offers a limited number of one week work experience placements for secondary school students. The placements range from our Education Department to Front of House, NGV Members and NGV design stores. Work experience in any one facet of the NGV cannot be guaranteed. Placements are limited and they cannot guarantee a placement for all
applicants. For this reason they strongly recommend students having other
work experience placement options.
Due to the limited number of placements per year, they may also not be able to accommodate your nominated dates. If this is the case, please ensure that you approach your school prior to submitting your application to see if there is
any flexibility available.
Open May to October for details visit: https://www.ngv.vic.gov.au/about/people-and-careers/work-experience/
Work experience -Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute 2019 - opens August
Each year, more than 50 secondary school students are taken into our laboratories for a week-long placement to experience what the life of a research scientist is really like. These placements enable secondary students (15 years of age or older) to gain an insight into careers in biomedical research by allowing them to observe and participate in (subject to safety considerations) the activities of a research laboratory. We prioritise applications from students who have an interest in pursuing a career in science.
In 2019 we are offering three rounds of work experience. For the details for each round – including key dates visit:

Please download our resource guide to assist you in finding possible places. Please note this resource is not exhaustive and you may note that some require applications months in advance.
