Year 8 News

Welcome back to a cold and chilly Term 3. As always we are off to a flying start.

Already there has been an enthusiastic response to trying out for netball and touch rugby. Well done to those students who made the team. In PSE the students have begun working on their cyber safety awareness thanks to our program facilitated by Project Rockit. The students will complete a series of online modules over the course of the term and will be supported in the classroom by the Homeroom Teachers.

At the end of last term we farewelled Ms Christine Blake. We wish her well in her new venture and thank her for her work in Year 8. We are very pleased to welcome Mr Roger Grech, to the team as Homeroom Teacher for 8.1. The boys have launched themselves into the busyness of school life and have started their new electives. It is a good time to revisit the good study habits in preparation for Parent/ Student/ Teacher interviews coming soon. A bit later in the term I will begin preparation for the upcoming Year 8 Camp. With that in mind now is a great time to update CareMonkey details and revisit Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Plans and any other medical requirements.

In the meantime may I take the opportunity to welcome our new students and staff to our college community. We are pleased to have you with us and we wish you well.
