St Yon Crew and LYLs Fundraiser for Lighthouse Foundation

The St Yon Crew and LYLs held a fundraiser to raise money for the Lighthouse Foundation.

The Lighthouse Foundation operates to help end youth homelessness and holds an annual ‘4UP Day’ whereby donations are matched 4 times. The St Yon Crew and LYLs sold cans of soft drink in Week 9 of Term 2 to raise money and were able to contribute almost $800. Over $1,000,000 was raised this 4UP Day.

Thanks to the students who assisted in running this fundraiser and to the school community for supporting this cause.

St Yon Crew and LYLs Woodwork Project

Several members of the St Yon Crew and LYLs spent many a lunchtime in the woodwork rooms preparing and painting furniture for donation. The furniture used were unwanted items made by students.

The items were donated to St Vincent de Paul Society as part of their Vinnies Winter Appeal. Well done to the students who assisted.
