Parents & Friends

More Food with Friends................
Exciting Announcement! Please jump on board and get involved.
You may have heard a whisper that the P&F are organising another College Recipe Book. After the amazing success of the first recipe book, Food with Friends, a much sought after foodie bible in the district and further afield, we have decided a sequel is well and truly due. Our plan is to bring back just a few old favourites combined with new fabulous, tried and true, no fail recipes from our wonderful College Community.
So, we are calling out to you to trawl through your favourite recipes and send in the one that most stands out to you. It could be the old faithful show stopper handed down through the generations, the crowd pleaser on a wintery morning at Pedrina Park or the footy, or the delicate appetiser to start a spring lunch. It could be your favourite gluten free, dairy free, sugar free snack, the soup that warms the cockles of your heart when the day is dreary or the simple quick meal to whip up on a frantic weeknight and earn smiles from your family.
If you have a short anecdote to go with your recipe, we would love that as well.
The committee will endeavour to include all recipes that are submitted, but we ask your understanding if not all submissions make the final book. A recipe book requires balance and an even range of recipes. Hundreds of recipes are
submitted and there may be similar recipes or simply too many of the same ilk. We appreciate the time and effort put into submissions and the personal value of your recipes and will do our best to include as many as we can.
A note on copyright:
What's the copyright on recipes from other sources?
The recipe title should be unique to the author. Ingredients are not deemed as creative but technical and therefore there is no copyright issues. However, the recipe method is deemed as creative writing and therefore copyright. The method needs to be written in the author’s own words describing how they made the recipe. If your inspiration comes from a published author, you can also quote that you were inspired by.... adding the name of the author/published cookbook. You cannot publish a recipe word-for-word from any other source unless you have their written permission.
So, please put on your thinking caps and send in your favourite recipe by June 15th 2019.
Recipes and any questions can be sent to the following email: paf@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au
Many thanks for your support and we can’t wait to be inspired by your culinary creativity!
