Treading the Boards

Performance on the hallowed stage of Her Majesty’s Theatre

Famous opera divas and rock and roll hall of famers, the stage of Her Majesty’s Theatre has seen it all since 1875.  This week the Hamilton and Alexandra Percussion Ensemble travelled to Ballarat to compete in the 125th Royal South Street Competitions and perform on that very stage.  Our percussionist performed admirably under the direction of Mr Michael Evans- Barker and was able to experience the dynamic performances of other percussion ensembles from around Victoria.

Primary Years Concert

As part of the ‘Collaboration in Concert’ tour that will feature College and Ballarat Grammar students performing together, a primary schools concert will be held at the Simons Auditorium on Wednesday 14th September from 10-11am.  Years 4, 5 and 6 will attend with an open invitation to all regional primary schools being offered.  Parents who might like to attend with younger children are most welcome as this presents a wonderful opportunity for young minds to be opened to the joys of instrumental music making.  If wishing to attend please email Mr Ben Hunter, Centre Manager BHunter@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au
