My experience in a French language course in Québec

by Allegra, Year 11

My trip to Québec City in Canada with Edu-inter immersion program during the last summer holidays was an unforgettable adventure. I spent three weeks learning French in a school with other teenagers from all over the world and now have friends in Panama, Mexico, the US, Spain, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil.

I stayed with an extremely kind and generous French-speaking host family who helped me greatly improve my French; I can’t wait to see my host family again!

Québec City is beautiful and historic, especially in winter. My program offered French classes in the mornings and activities such as dogsledding, ice skating, snowshoeing and walking through the historic old town.

I would definitely recommend the experience to anyone who not only wants to improve their French skills but who also wants to make new friends from around the world and encounter life in a different country.

Australian National Futsal Championships

by Dante, Year 12

After making it through the trials, I was chosen to represent Victoria in the Youth Men’s team for the January National Championships.

We headed to Penrith in Sydney in January to fight it out in extreme heat. It was a week of group stage competitions against all other states with Victoria being one of the four to make it through to the semi-finals.

After a very tense semi-final game against NSW City West we managed to make it to the finals against NSW Central Coast. It was a huge thrill to play in the finals and an even bigger one to win it.
