Spanish Excursion

Year 8 & 9

Year 8 and 9 Spanish students went to the Spanish Film Festival at Kino Cinema on the 2nd and 3rd of May to see the Spanish fil "Los Futbisimos". It was a great day! Our senior Spanish and Chinese students are Looking forward to the Melbourne International Film Festival in August.

Year 9 Parent Student Evening Workshops

Are you in year 9 this year and thinking of taking a year 10 Food Studies elective next year? If you are these workshop are for you.

 

During term two, the home economics teachers have designed a range of hands on parent/student evening workshops for you to come along to and produce a quick nutritious meal.

 

The Taste of Europe workshop will run for 90 minutes from 7pm – 8.30pm, where you will work together with your parent to prepare, make and serve a delicious gourmet pizza.

 

The Hospitality Restaurant night will run for 90 minutes from 6.30pm – 8pm, where you will be able to sit back and enjoy a 3-course meal with one of your parents.

 

Entrée – Creamy Thai Pumpkin Soup

Main course – Stuffed Chicken Breast served with seasonal vegetables

 

Dessert – Apple and Rhubarb Crumble

You will have the opportunity to book into one of the workshops only, so be quick before space fill up. Numbers are limited to 12 students plus 1 parent for each workshop.

There is no cost for the workshops, we only ask that for the Taste of Europe workshop you wear closed toe shoes, bring a container and enjoy yourselves.

 

Each participant will take home a set of recipe cards and a delicious nutritious meal.
