Knox City Council: Night Owl Hoops for Youth

Program Details

Who is it for?    12-18 year olds of all abilities and all are welcome, particularly those who may be vulnerable, isolated, at risk, may benefit from some additional support, and/or just needing an opportunity to socialise and have fun.   

 

When is it held?  Saturday nights 6.30 pm – 11.30 pm for 6 weeks – starting Sat 18th May – Sat 29 June ( excluding Queens Birthday weekend)

 

Where?  Boronia Basketball Stadium  

What does the program include?  Each night includes:  

 

  • At least 3 games of round robin basketball
  • A healthy meal
  • Personal development and a short life-skills workshop run by Council’s Youth Services and Headspace
  • Transport by minibus is provided home for those that need this.

 

Is there a cost?  The program is FREE 

Who can register? 

participants must live in Knox suburbs of  Bayswater, Boronia, Ferntree Gully, Knoxfield, Lysterfield, Rowville, Scoresby, The Basin, Upper Ferntree Gully, Wantirna, and Wantirna South.
