So Many Camps

Ensemble Camp

On the first two days of term many of our ensembles travelled to Mt. Evelyn to participate in our annual ensemble camp. String Orchestra, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Guitar Ensemble, Stage Band and Percussion Ensemble were put through their paces learning brand new repertoire and working on a variety of skills. The groups achieved a huge amount and came away tired but proud.

Choir Camp

On Friday 26th April we returned to Mt. Evelyn this time with our three choirs. The choirs put in some intensive work and spent a huge amount of time on intricate harmonies, as well as getting a dodgeball and kickball work out!

Generations in Jazz

Our amazing Stage Band and VoxEns spent the weekend in Mt. Gambier participating in the international jazz festival – Generations in Jazz! They were so lucky to be able to hear some amazing international jazz artists including Kurt Elling, Lizz Wright, Joey de Francesco and the inestimable James Morrison. Stage Band performed incredibly well and very early in the moring to a very appreciative audience. VoxEns performed at lunch time and treated the adjudicator to an spine tingling performance which eventually earned them a well deserved 3rd place out of 30 schools!
