Associate Principal, Operations Report

This Week's Service

On Wednesday of this week, Learmonth House led the Service at Chaucer Street.  House-led Services provide great opportunities for students, under the oversight of their Head of House, to explore issues and ideas which affect us all and to engage with the student body in ways to which they relate easily.  These Services are also traditionally an opportunity for Year 11 members of the House to take a lead.

Learmonth’s Service invited us to explore our character strengths, to come to know ourselves and to work to utilise those strengths to ensure we continue to develop as people.  Through the use of some delightful YouTube clips, Biblical readings, prayer, popular music and other material, we were challenged and enriched by their presentation.

Thank you to Hannah, Madeleine, Mollie, Tom, Thomas, Oliver, Sara, Owen, Caitlin, Lana, Claire, Jessie and Christine for their work to prepare the Service and for their leadership of it.  Many thanks also to Mr Hawthorne for his support of the group.

The next House-led Service will not be far away.
