School Hats
Wembley Primary School is a SunSmart school and students are required to wear a broad brimmed school hat at all times whilst in the playground – this includes during recess and lunch time, as well as physical education, sports sessions and whilst on excursions.
Please ensure that your child has applied sunscreen prior to coming to school.
Children without a hat will be asked to spend their recess and lunch breaks in the shaded area near the canteen.
Direct purchases of school hats from the office are available for $15.50 each. All hats should be clearly labelled with the child’s name and room number so they can be easily returned, if misplaced.
Late arrival/early departure process
Students arriving late to school are required to enter the School via the Office to obtain a late pass. Parents are asked to bring their child/ren into the Office if late.
*Please note students who attend the Office without a Parent/Guardian will be marked as an Unapproved late arrival.
When picking up children early, parents and guardians are required enter via the office and complete an early departure slip.
The office staff will place a call through to the classroom and arrange for the student to come up to the office.
Change of address/email
Parents are asked to call (03 9314 7054) or email (wembley.ps@education.vic.gov.au) the office to advise of any changes to their residential or email address, mobile number in order to keep our records up to date.
Front Loading Students
In place of calling the office in the middle of the day, families are encouraged to please front load their children at the start of the school day.
This covers who will pick up the student at the end of the day and, if participating in the aftercare program, or where to meet after school.
Also checking that lunch and drink bottles are in the students school bag before leaving home in the morning.
Parents are asked to only call the office or email the classroom teacher if there is a last minute change and that the student is not aware of the changes.
Voluntary Parent Payments
Information has been distributed to all families in relation to Voluntary Parent Payments, which are now live on the Sentral Parent Portal.
Payments can also still be made via the Sentral parent portal (preferred), at the Office for EFT, and/or via Bank Transfer.
Moving forward when activities or charges are created you will receive a notification from Sentral to action. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the office on
03 9314 7054.
Local Walking, Photo Permission, Student Code of Conduct and ICT Acceptable Usage
Agreement form links have been emailed to all families. Parents are asked to discuss these with their child/children and complete these online as soon as possible. Your support with this is much appreciated.
