Prep Kitchen Garden

The final session for the Prep students was held this week where the students made pastatatta - or frittasta (you choose). It was a combination of frittata and pasta where vegetables were chopped finely into little pieces, combined with cheese, egg and milk and fried until set. The students enjoyed their food in little bowls.

They finished their Christmas decorations repurposing old CD's. Please enjoy these photos:

Year 4 Stewardship

The year 4s finished their bottle top art and they look amazing. These will be displayed in our school along with information written by the students explaining the impact of plastic on our environment, and a description of their art piece. These art works are designed to catch people's attention, then draw them in and encourage them to think about plastic and the environment. We created these projects inspired by an artist from America, Chris Jordan and his  work titled "Running the Numbers". I encourage you to have a look at his gallery of work.

Meanwhile here are some of the year 4's creations

Recycling

Congratulations to our school for participating in Planet Ark's Schools Recycle Right Challenge by undertaking activities during National Recycling Week. We are proud of our efforts to reuse, reduce, recycle and will continue to practise sustainable efforts and improve in the future.

Chicken Care over Summer Holidays

As many of you will remember, each holidays we ask for helpers from our families to ensure the chickens are cared for in our absence. They need feeding, watering and exercise so it's job that really doesn't take too long and can be a fun family thing to do. If you are available 1 or 2 days over the holiday break, please sign up through the School Interviews website for the days you're available. In the pas we've only allowed one day per family, but in order to cover the 6 weeks, we will need some families to sign up to 2 or 3 days. Go to:

You will receive an email with details of what to do once you have signed up.

Thank you
