John XXIII Netball Club
Welcome to the 2023 Winter Netball Season. We are looking forward to a fabulous year ahead.
John XXIII College Netball Club is an inclusive club that welcomes players of all abilities.
The philosophy of our Club is to encourage participation while striving for excellence; emphasis is placed on having fun while remaining competitive.
Games are played at Matthews' Netball Centre on Saturdays for Years 5 – 12 and Friday afternoons for Years 2 – 4.

Primary School Students
We welcome all John XXIII College Primary School students from Year 2 to Year 6 to play for John XXIII Netball Club.
Registration is now open and will close on 24 February. Registration will close early if all places in a year group are filled.

Secondary School Students
We encourage girls to play in their year groups but ensure there is scope for development of very strong players.
All of our coaches have completed their Netball WA Coaching Foundation course so no matter which team a player is selected in they receive excellent coaching.
Registration is now open and will close on Thursday 9 February. Registration will close early if all places in a year group are filled.

Players must be registered to attend grading.
If you are new to the College or netball and would like to try netball before registering, please email us so we can arrange that for you.
Grading
Grading dates and times are attached.
Grading is compulsory for all secondary school students. It is expected that players will attend all of their grading sessions.
Pre-Season Training
Fitness training is optional. There is no registration, just show up and sign in on the day.
Fitness is held on the oval under the netball courts.
7:00am – 8:00am Wednesdays & Fridays
- 8 & 10 February
- 15 & 17 February
- 22 & 24 February
- 1 & 3 March
- 8 & 10 March
Fees
The fees charged reflect the actual expense of PNA registration & game fees, umpires, game day equipment, training and first aid equipment & coaches for Years 7 - 12.
KidSport vouchers are welcome at JTCNC: if you qualify please contact us so we can assist you with your registration. More information can be found on the Department of Recreation & Sport website:

Training
Training is at John XXIII College on the courts next to E block (Year 7).
Training is compulsory, times are:
- Years 6, 7, 8 & 9 Thursdays 3:30pm – 5:00pm
- Years 10, 11 & 12 Tuesdays 3:30pm – 5:00pm
- Primary training will be advised by the coach.
Refund Policy
Withdrawals must be received by Thursday 9 March 2023 to be eligible for a refund.
A $25 grading fee will be deducted from all secondary school refunds.
A $5 finance administration fee will be deducted from all primary school refunds.
Refunds for the Netball Australia and Netball WA portion of the fees will be reimbursed directly by Netball WA less administration fees and charges.
NetSetGo refunds will have the cost of the promotional pack deducted from the refund by Netball Australia.
Umpires
Umpire trials and mentoring will be held at grading.
New umpires must have completed the PNA umpire holiday course. Please send a copy of your certificate with your expression of interest.
