A Message from Father Manny

Message to St. Joseph the Worker Primary School North Reservoir. (3.2.2023)

“You are the Salt of the earth – You are the Light of the World”. These words are from St Matthew’s Gospel of this Sunday (5th Feb) the fifth Sunday in Ordinary time. These are words of Jesus to his disciples and to each one of us: we are called: Salt of the earth and Light of the world. These words are a reflection on our faith as Christians. Our faith is a gift to not be taken for granted. Our faith is a gift that give a good taste and flavour of goodness: Salt of the Earth, it must not be tasteless. Our faith is to be seen by other: Light of the World, it must not be hidden or restricted. With these reflective words I offer greetings to you all:  Maria, Leaders, Teachers and Staff, Students, Parents and families of our Saint Joseph the worker Primary School, North Reservoir. Welcome back into this new year 2023 and I wish to thank you for your continuing dedication of teaching and learning and caring. A special welcome to the new teachers and staff and a special welcome to the prep students and new students and the new families. May we continue to work together in this year 2023 and may we continue to make Jesus real through being for each other salt of the earth and Light of the world. May we keep remembering that we are people of Faith and we believe that God is with us. We believe that God protects us and never forget us. I wish you all well that together we may continually grow in faith.
