Water Safety

This week at swimming lessons, the children talked about water safety. They participated in a range of activities to help them understand what to do in emergency situations. The children experienced the sensation of being in the pool in their clothes (t-shirt and shorts), moving to safety in a life jacket and using a rope to pull someone out of the water.

Carols on the Green

Congratulations Prep C! What a terrific performance at our Christmas concert on Tuesday afternoon. I was so impressed that the youngest members of our school were able to kick off the concert, without knowing what to expect, and they wowed everyone with their wonderful performance. Thank you to Prep C families for supporting their child with finding a festive outfit and for cheering us on. 

Celebrations

It is time to begin celebrating the close of our Preps first year of school. The children have started making decorations for our classroom tree with stars, angels, baubles, bells and candy canes. As we learnt in our Inquiry unit this term. it is great to reuse old items to make new ones. We have been making paper chains from old magazines to decorate our classroom and we think they look great!
