Junior School

The Junior School has been once again busy with many students involved in many events outside the classroom.

Inside the classroom students have been focussing on finishing off their final assessment tasks for the year, ready to be placed on their reports. All assessments tasks are due by Thursday 1st December. Please check in with your child to see if they have completed everything.

A huge congratulations to our Yr 7 boys volleyball team who won the state championships last week, it was a brilliant achievement and the Junior school students were able to watch them win the final game thanks to a live stream that was set up back at school.

Good luck to our Yr 7 boys table tennis team who compete this week in the state championships.

Junior School production members have been busily preparing and rehearsing for their upcoming performance nights. We look forward to watching all of our Junior school students performing in the shows.

Our student leaders have been busy working with the 2023 Yr 7 students and parents this week. Thanks to ….. for helping to run the small schools afternoon, giving valuable insight into the best way to prepare and transition into yr 7. Well done to everyone.

Congratulations to Lily Crossman and Trevin T. for speaking so eloquently at the Yr 7 information night on Thursday 24th November.

Upcoming events:

  • Yr 7 drama spectacular – all of our yr 7 students will be watching performances from the yr 7 drama classes on Friday 2nd December and voting on the best performances. A great way to showcase the knowledge and talent gained throughout the semester.
  • Yr. 7 celebration day – a compass event has been created for this. Thursday 8th December students will be spending the day at Lilydale lake playing games, having lunch and celebrating their achievements this year. We look forward to a fun day.
  • Locker clean outs – please make sure your child has emptied out their lockers by Friday 9th December as we prepare to hand over their locker to the next student in 2023.
  • Last day of scheduled classes – Thursday 8th December
  • End of Year activities program – Friday 9th December til Friday 16th December (not including 13th December). Students can attend school to participate in various fun activities throughout the day run by each faculty.
  • 2023 Yr 7 Orientation Day – Tuesday 13th December – our student leaders will be helping our new yr 7 students settle into secondary school and prepare for their new educational chapter.
