Year 12 Orientation Day

Andrea Grear, Head of Senior School & Principal, South Plympton Campus

Year 12 Orientation Day was held early this year on Tuesday 7 February. The purpose of this day is to spend time with students exploring the tools and strategies they will need for the final year of school.

Year 12s learnt about study skills, organisation and memory, and the workshops are designed to help set the students up with good habits for their year. The day was not all study, but also had outside activities, morning tea provided and a great South African lunch thanks to Aunty Meg’s Food Truck.

The staff appreciated the new facilities at Mitchell Park Sports and Community Centre and are hoping that students will retain some of the things they have learnt and it will set them up for a successful year.

Thanks to Esther Amoy, Daryl Porter, Mike Worley, Alli Storey, Josh Brenkley, Adam Wood and Erin James who all provided their expertise to the day. And to Aunty Meg for the great food.
