Foundation 2023 Transition

What a fantastic time our 2023 Foundation students had at their third transition session! We hope they had lots of fun making rockets, joining in on countdown songs and games.

Thankfully the weather was kind to us and they even got to head outside in the sunshine to fly our rockets and do a rocket launch. We can't wait to see our 2023 Foundation students again at our next session on the December 6th for a Teddy Bear Picnic with our

“Big Buddies” who will be very important helpers for the Preps next year.

Grade 6 Graduation Update

Our committee has been working hard over the last few months to ensure that our Grade 6 kids will have an amazing night celebrating their graduation and this would not be possible without the help and support of the Marlborough Primary School Community.

The support we have had from our Icy Pole fund raiser has been amazing, (considering the weather has been average) so we thank you very much.

We need to run these types of fund-raising events to ensure we keep the costs down to families and to ensure inclusion.

We would also like to thank the following people and companies:

  • Heathmont Bowls Club
  • Lauren Bremmer
  • Alice Goudapenne
  • Rueben Brooks
  • Coles – Eastland
  • Woolworths – Eastland

Any questions or queries please don’t hesitate to contact a member of the Graduation Committee.

Friendship is COMMUNITY

Our URSTRONG Friendology program looks at social-emotional wellbeing through the lens of friendship. During December, we’re bringing all of our wellbeing themes and our Friendology curriculum together by exploring the importance of COMMUNITY, connection, and a sense of belonging. Friendology Friend O Leader

This Term the Grade 5/6's have had visitors Sarah, Edwina, Mekayla and Marcus from Maroondah Council running the Friendology Friend O Leader training with the students.

The students have engaged in activities and conversations about what they know about Friendology and how they have used Friendology in the yard. It was great to hear students understanding Friendology and talking about ways they have helped other students at school using these skills. The students were also asked to think about what they would like to see our Friend O Leader's wear in the yard to help identify them and shared their creative ideas.

We have also been working with our current Friend O Leaders and discussed their experience and have asked for their support designing an item for the newest Friend O Leaders to wear next year.

We have also received some new posters which will be put up around the school.

Over the next few weeks we are hoping to find out who our next Friend O Leader's for 2023 will be.

Warm regards
