Wellbeing Supports for Summer

As I sit here writing this article, I can’t believe we are nearing the end of the year. It has been so great to be part of the Emmaus community. I have always had a heart for Middle and Senior School students, and then the journey that life and God took me on, called me to counselling. Working at Emmaus has allowed me to be part of both those things, and it has been a privilege to be allowed into the lives of our students and your children. I am so rewarded when I see the change that is facilitated by the counselling journey our students decide to take, and I commend them for doing so. The hardest step in our wellbeing journey can be asking for help.

Whilst I am excited for Christmas and school holidays, I am also aware that it is seven weeks until our team gets to see students again, and although school stops, our need for support remains the same. We have also walked through some heavy events as a school community this year and I am sensitive to the impact that this has had.

With that in mind, I just want to leave you with some resources for support as we head into the holidays. If you would like more specific recommendations for Counsellors or Psychologists to get connected with, please reach out to our Wellbeing Team.

Merry Christmas, and enjoy your holidays!
