Junior Classroom News

F/1 News

The F/1 students have had another amazing two weeks at school. They have shown great resilience and maturity as they adapted to changing factors within the classroom.

In Maths we have been revising our knowledge of counting, shapes, and chance. In English, we have also been revising our phonemic awareness skills and working on our comprehension skills.

In Religion, we are learning about the true meaning of Christmas and how we prepare during Advent.

Overall the F/1 students have had an amazing year of learning and achievement. They have all grown so much and we all look forward to spending another year together in the F/1/2 class next year.

F/1 End of Cross Curriculum Unit Celebration

The F/1 students are nearing the end of their Cross Curriculum unit “Playing in the Park”. To celebrate our learning about parks and what events can happen at them, we will be walking to the Geyle Reserve Playground for a teddy bear's picnic on Monday 12th November, 2022 12:35 pm-1:35 pm.

Students will be taking their own lunchbox to eat from at the picnic. Please ensure they also have a drink bottle.

They are able to bring their own teddy with them to the picnic. They need to be able to carry it by themselves while we walk to the park.

Mrs Parry and Jennie will be the adults attending the excursion.
