NEWS & ADMINISTRATION

Mrs Caroline Galea

Dear Parents,

We are once again getting close to the end of Term 2 and can you believe it....half way through the year!

Between now and the end of Term 2 (normal finish time), we have First Eucharist and parent teacher interviews, school photos, a school closure day and crazy hair day.

I am exhausted just thinking about it all.  So please read through the newsletter to ensure that you are up to date with everything.

Currently, Derryn and I are holding interviews for Prep 2024.  It has been wonderful interacting with new Prep 2024 families that are wanting to join the Holy Name family.

Our current families who have children coming into Prep in 2024 will be having interviews over the next few weeks.  I know that many of you have recommended our school to others, so on behalf of the staff and families of Holy Name, thank you!

Please continue to spread the word as we still have a few places for Prep 2024 next year.

Just a reminder that Monday 12th June is a Public Holiday and Tuesday 13th is a school closure day.

School Reports and Parent Teacher Interviews

Parent teacher interviews will be on Thursday 22nd June 1:30 - 8:00pm.  The online booking system through School Interviews will go live next week, with links and codes announced on Seesaw. Please look out for these on Seesaw: if you require access to Seesaw, please email Derryn Ling - dling@hnpe.catholic.edu.au

Each interview block lasts fifteen minutes.  If there are further items to discuss, you’ll need to reschedule another time. Those students who have PSG meetings scheduled over this term will not need to book in for an interview. This is an opportunity for you to discuss your child's progress so far this year.

** School finishes at 1.00pm on this day.

After school care will be available through Camp Australia for those that require it.

All reports will be available electronically on Monday 19th June via the nforma portal (further information to follow) and we strongly urge you to read through this prior to attending your interview.

Sacrament of First Eucharist

We congratulate all the children that will be receiving their First Holy Communion on Sunday June 18th. This is a very exciting time for our children in their faith journey.

See the Religion page for more information.

Crazy Hair/Socks Day

School Photos

A new date has now been set for Thursday 15th June, please ensure that your child is in winter uniform. If they have sport on this day, they are to bring their runners to be able to change into.  If your child happens to be sick on this day, please do not bring them into school for photos.

M.A.D. DADS NIGHT

All dads, grandpas and fatherly figures are invited to join the MAD team in our second social night for the year.

Lost Property Basket

The basket is overflowing with expensive uniform items, mainly woollen jumpers, windcheaters (& even jackets) with no names or names of children long gone from the school.  We return as many items to their owners as we can, but if parents don't name or rename the pieces, there's nothing we can do.

If your child has lost a uniform item, please come and look through the basket in the office corridor, take your item and don't forget to name it.

Canteen

To order lunch for your child on Thursdays or Fridays , the only way is through our school Schools24 app (see the instructions below).  Over the counter lunch time sales will continue to occur on Tuesday and Friday.

CODING CLUB

Coding club is available again in Term 3 on Monday lunchtimes for students in Grade 3-6. Please follow the link and book your child in if they are interested.

Assembly Roster

We welcome all parents and friends to join us each Monday from 2:30 for our assembly. Each week a different grade level will share and present their learnings.  Please see the roster below.
