Building Connections!

St Mary's and St Xavier's have started an early morning reading initiative. In an effort to promote literacy and build connections with St Mary's students, we have invited St Marys students to come across and read to our students in the mornings before the bell.

As you can see from the photos' our students love listening to a story in the warmth of the shared space. The St Mary's students not only read to the students but engage with them by asking questions and discussing the story.  We hope they are enjoying it as much as our students!

Debating

We have two Year 6 teams entered into the Diocesan Primary Debating competition. The first round started today with the topic - 'The Future of the World is Online'.

St Xavier's Blue team - Molly Ramien, Eugenie Goddard, Sean Gander, and Jackson Kook (absent) competed today losing to Boggabri in a close debate.

St Xavier's Maroon team - Lexi Whitton, Summer Roberts, Charlotte Duncan, and Julian Schembri compete tomorrow against St Edwards.

Goodluck to both teams.
