Kitchen Garden

Last Friday, 3/4R were cooks, chefs, waiters, waitresses and food critics as they cooked up a storm and turned the stadium foyer into a mini kitchen and restaurant. 

 

On the menu: Pumpkin Soup, Broccoli Carbonara with homemade Pasta and Pumpkin Spiced Muffins with Cream Cheese icing. 

 

Ingredients from the garden: Pumpkins, onions, garlic and parsley. 

 

Thank you to Grandparent volunteer, Peta, parent volunteer, Sonia, and staff, Kylie and Nick, for your help and patience during the session. 

 

The cooking sessions are always a highlight of our Kitchen Garden Program. Learning new skills, as a team, to create simple but tasty dishes from produce in our garden, then enjoy them at a shared table, is a truly wonderful experience to be part of. 

 

I hope you enjoy the school holidays, maybe you might do some cooking or gardening with your family.
