Parents & Friends Association Bio

Though We Are Many, We Are One in Christ at Mazenod.

My name is Rosetta Scheepers and my son is in Year 9.

As a family, we felt privileged to have started our journey with Mazenod in Year 7, in 2020. We chose Mazenod, not only because of its academic excellence but more importantly because it is a Catholic school. We felt as parents we would be supported, by being true to the teachings of the Catholic faith.

My son’s first year at Mazenod was predominately spent in lockdown, which resulted in a disconnect from the school community for both my son and for us, as parents.  I felt that joining the Parents & Friends Association (P&FA) would be a wonderful way to get to know parents and teachers in my son’s year level, as well as parents across the school.

We all have many talents and gifts and sharing them will result in the rebuilding of a more vibrant community, after Covid. With your support, in any capacity, the P&FA hopes to regenerate and continue to build a Christ-centered community that is the essence of Mazenod.
