Year 6

This week in Mathematics Year 6 are exploring Mass. We started by reading an article about kids backpacks being to heavy and what is the ideal weight. Please feel free to have a look at the article “How heavy is too heavy?”.

Students then gathered items they would normally pack in their backpack to travel to school, we used different types of scales to record mass in grams and kilograms. We will continue to explore how we can represent these numbers in different units of measurement.
