Joy is the feeling of happiness which continues and makes our life worth. For us joy begins when we wake up, our passion to be with the children whose lives we can make a difference. Receiving unconditional love and response from them. Seeing them learn and develop. From day one till they are ready for school. Joy is infectious – It transforms in the environment resulting in smiles and pleasure.

Joy is the expression of inner happiness and contentment. As educators, every day we always look at simplistic moments and experiences that joy brings to each child’s learning and play. As educators we feel the joy of seeing the children succeed. Joy is working in a team and supporting each other. sharing ideas for learning of children. support family communication by giving good feedback to them about their child as well as building relationships with families.

As an educator we are finding joy with children from the morning. Welcoming families as they settle their child each morning, helping their child to build their confidence to come in the room and choose an activity to what they would like to do first. Educators find a lot of joy in setting up the program or outdoor activities according to the child’s interest. In fact, there is a lot of joy teaching and watching children thrive and build confidence through learning and play.

At Glen Carnegie, the educators joyful experience is multiplied by having such a wonderful community around. The feedback we receive from the families makes our day motivating and energizing us. Seeing our children develop and grow is extremely satisfying as we are succeeding in reaching our goals. Reflected in the feedback we receive: "Drop off’ are a breeze but pick up is painful because our child never wants to leave. You’re all amazing and he is thrilled with the kindergarten and he’s having a wonderful time."

There are several examples of children’s wonderful experiences we have seen over the course of this year. For example, when children are learning to make friends and building their confidence in their environment it’s such a pleasure to see them flourish! Children learning through play and not even realizing how much they learnt while having fun. Making friends and little things which bring them pleasure. It was so wonderful to see our children excited having new swings in our yard. Let’s all be happy and spread joy around us!
