Message from the Chairman

St Bede’s College – Update on Principal Appointment

We are progressing well down the path of recruitment of our next school Principal. Our team has consulted widely

to understand the key features and behaviours that will make this appointment a success.

We wish to thank all those who have been involved and provided feedback – this has been used as input, by our recruiting team, to the application package and position description for the role.

For your information, we’ve included some further details of the selection and appointment process below.

Our timetable for this process includes the following dates:

February 18 – March 11: Position advertised across Australia and New Zealand over a four week period.

March 24: Applications close.

April – May: Shortlisting and interview process.

May: Preferred candidate is recommended for approval by De La Salle

Br. Visitor (Provincial) and Archbishop of Melbourne.

Mid 2017: Announcement of the Principal-elect is made.

July onwards: Transition to new Principal, with Principal to commence in January

2018

These are exciting times for St Bede’s College, and we are proud of the school’s achievements during Br Garry’s period as Principal. We look forward to a successful 2017 and beyond, as we transition to a new Principal in 2018.
