Year 8

Cross Country

On Friday, 27 July the Year 8 House Cross-Country was held on Mentone foreshore.  Congratulations to Alexander Gibson (8.6 – Benilde) who came in first and is the Year 8 Cross-Country Champion - 2018.  Additional congratulations to Nikolas Atsis (8.9 – Benilde) in second place and Niklaus Michelsson (8.3 - Solomon) in third place. 

History and Religion Excursion

During the term, each of the Year 8 Homerooms experienced a full day excursion to the Melbourne Museum for a Vikings Exhibition to supplement their History studies and to the Jewish Museum of Australia to support their Religious Education coursework.  The excursion proved to be an interesting educational resource for the students as it further broadened and deepened their understanding of Viking life and gave them a better insight into the Jewish world.
