A Midsummer Night’s Dream, is a comedy written by William Shakespeare. The performance is in traditional Elizabethan style with a blend of modern and tradition and will be performed by the Year 10 Theatre Studies class.
The comedy consists of interconnecting plots, which lead to a wedding of Duke Theseus of Athens and the Amazon Queen, Hippolyta.
It tells the tale of a group of workers putting on a play and two lovers, Hermia and Lysander who are seeking refuge in the forest near Athens after Hermia’s father demands that she marry Demetrius. Meanwhile, the fairies and Titania have come for the dukes wedding.
The story has a series of mischievous action, magic juice and romance in its amazing sets, such as fairyland.
We look forward to parents and guardians, students, family and friends and staff joining us next Monday night to see this fabulous performance.
