Fisher Camps 2019

Year 5/6 Camp to Sovereign Hill

School camps are a brilliant way for our students to experience life away from their home comforts, to connect with friends, peers and staff and often provide challenges which are excellent preparation for their future.

We are thrilled to confirm our exciting 4-day camp to Sovereign Hill, Ballarat which has been booked for Week 10, Term 2 (Monday 1st July - Thursday 4th July) and further details will be distributed early in Term 2. Students will have opportunities to demonstrate their resilience, confidence and to learn through multi-sensory experiences of what life was like on the Goldfields of Ballarat.

In 2017, our Year 5/6 group of 114 students were our first to travel interstate to Victoria for their school camp and it was a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience for all students and adults. Many of our Year 7 graduate speeches since have reflected upon their awesome experiences at Sovereign Hill.

Please return your confirmation slip and deposit of $50, which is due by Friday 8th March (week 6 of Term 1), so that we can confirm and finalise all aspects of our camp. We know that Sovereign Hill 2019 will be just as engaging and interesting and we are looking forward to it!

Year 7 Camp to Hillocks Beach, Yorke Peninsula

We will once again be partnering with the Wilderness Escape Team to deliver a rich and exciting camp experience for our Year 7 cohort. The Year 7 camp to Hillocks Drive, Yorke Peninsula will provide opportunities for our students to develop confidence, organisation and resilience as well as continuing to build onto the school’s Values and Keys to Success. In the lead up to camp we will be engaging in powerful learning that links into the area where we will be staying and the locations that we will be visiting. This will occur through our HASS inquires into Place and Liveability and Water in the World.

Venue/Accommodation

Our Year 7 students will be tent camping at Hillocks Drive on the Yorke Peninsula. It is a beachside campsite on private property.
