Principal's Message

Amadeo Ferra

We are extremely proud of our 2019 Year 12 students. With a strong Senior VCAL completion rate and a median study score of 29 for our VCE cohort, it has been a pleasure to have played a key part in the growth of our Year 12 students. The median result of 29 has also placed us in the top 3 public schools on the Peninsula. Not only was there some excellent collective results as a college, there was also some outstanding individual results.

Our Dux of Year 12, Caitlin Mitchell was a real highlight of these individual results. Caitlin received an ATAR of 98.35 and individual study scores of 50 (perfect score) for Health and Human Development, 46 English, 43 Legal Studies (2018), 42 Business Management, 41 Psychology, 38 Further Maths. Congratulations to Caitlin and thanks to her family and teachers for all their support along the way.

Further to this, we also had Sanjana Ajjampur achieve a study score of 44 in Further Maths – the highest Further Maths Score in the college. What makes this individual success an amazing achievement is that Sanjana is in Year 9 and competing against Year 12s across the state. Congratulations Sanjana! #EducationByDesign.

I want to thank all of our students and staff for their hard work this year. For those of us leaving McClelland, goodbye and good luck. I hope you all enjoy a well-earned break over December and January and have time to relax with friends and family. We look forward to working with all the McClelland families again next year.
