School Based Appenticeships and Traineeships (SBAT) Update:

Since the beginning of 2018, eight students have participated in their official sign up for their School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeships. Congratulations to the following students who have all taken up amazing opportunities in industry based learning for their final years at Marian Catholic College.

Nicholas Zalunardo- Auto Electrician at Griffith Motor Group

Caitlyn Chant- Animal Studies at Griffith Animal Hospital

Brandon Guglielmino- Auto Electrician at Mid-town Motors

Jayden Lanza- Metal & Engineering at Yoogali Engineering

Rhys Lanza- Metal & Engineering at Yoogali Engineering

Jenna Pittari- Business Services at Pinnacle HPC

SBAT OPPORTUNITIES: 

It’s not too late, there are many opportunities for Year 10/11 students interested in starting a School Based Apprenticeship/Traineeship, see below:

A&G Engineering  aim to put on at least 2 – 3 apprentices at the Griffith site every year. Offering SBAT in retail sales, drafting and design, and estimating/sales. A&G Engineering are offering apprenticeships primarily for Cert III in Engineering: Fabrication trade. For more information and contact information at www.agengineering.com.au

Sugar Mill have showed interest in putting on a SBT in Hospitality. Interested Students must be reliable, eager to learn, well presented and interested in the hospitality Industry. RSC Optus Griffith has a SBT with a Cert in Retail Sales on offer.  This would be through the government’s smart and skilled initiative, an exterior assessor as well as on the job training. Contact RSC on (02) 6964 2111
