NAPLAN
We have just received official notification this afternoon that the 2020 NAPLAN tests have been cancelled.
The decision to not proceed with NAPLAN in 2020 has been taken to assist school leaders, teachers and support staff to focus on the wellbeing of students and continuity of education, including potential online and remote learning.
The tests will resume in 2021.
The NAPLAN Co-ordinated Practice Test which was scheduled for this coming Monday has also been cancelled.

I understand that many of you may have questions about the implications of the cancellation of NAPLAN. Please be assured I am happy to answer your questions. I will also keep you informed of any further information we receive.
SCHOOL PRIDE
We continue to work on keeping our school looking neat and tidy and free from rubbish. Thank you to 2DG, 3TL, 4RK, and 1EB for spending some time outside this week participating in our School Pride program.
POLICIES
The Education sub- committee is a sub-committee of School Council. The primary task of this committee is to oversee the WHPS policies and update, revise and adopt new polices. In line with Departmental of Education and Training (DET) framework and guidelines these are done on a cyclical basis.
You do not need to be a member of School Council to join the Education sub-committee. Much of our work is done via email. If you would like to be a member of this committee please email me and I can provide further information.
