Bonjour tout le monde! (Hello everyone!)

Firstly, I would like to say un grand merci (a big thank you) to all parents, students and teachers who have become involved with the school’s French Instagram account. Some have clicked to follow the page, while others have added French objects and even written comments. It would be wonderful to see this continue and if you would like to get involved you can download the Instagram app on your device and follow heps_french. Using the hashtag #hepsfrench allows you to add your own images of things you have found which relate to France and the French language. Super! (Great!)

Later this term we will be celebrating Bastille Day with another French Day. Bastille Day is the French National Day, which is on the 14th of July each year. It is celebrated with fireworks, communal eating and parades. Last year’s French Day at HEPS was a brilliant success, with students and teachers getting involved in dressing up and different activities. Parents also attended the Sharing Assembly to see what their child/ren had participated in over the day. I am truly looking forward to our next French Day, with many exciting activities and learning opportunities to be had. Please stay tuned for more information on the confirmed date and times.
