Managing Impulsivity Year 5/6
We managed our impulsivity by not getting frustrated when we couldn’t cut a straight line and we made it wonky. Also we didn’t get annoyed at each other if one of us did something wrong or made a mistake.
Alyssa, Keira and Jovita
We were managing our impulsivity when we made a mistake. We thought flexibly and used the leftover cardboard to retry because we didn't have any cardboard.
Nathan P, Xavier P & Dean P
We managed our impulsivity by managing our time wisely and thinking of a way to find materials that we didn't have. Sawing the wood was very challenging but we tried our best, stayed focused and worked around the challenges.
Khodi, Jordy, Reese & Meagan
Our group managed our impulsivity by trying our best to do accurate knots and not do simple ones which we had already learnt. We also managed our impulsivity when hot glueing the loose ends, we really wanted to try and be as accurate as possible. We tried our hardest even when in strife.
Chloe H, Asha & Kayla
Our group managed our impulsivity by keeping our hands out of the way of the sanding machine. We also managed our impulsivity by not quitting, even when we couldn’t cut our line straight with a saw. We never gave up. We didn’t get distracted when we cut the wood.
Luke H, Tom & Jason.
Our group managed our impulsivity by not getting mad about our sewing machine that was broken, but we persisted. Another time when we managed our impulsivity was when we started doing the circles for our pillows and they were really wobbly so we realised that we should use stencils instead.
