Welcome back to the Garden everyone.

We have an exciting new layout for the Garden shed, which you are more than welcome to come and have a look at on a Thursday or Friday. The new layout gives students the opportunity to explore new activities. 

This term the Year 3/4 students have started to grow rice. Rice is not traditionally grown in Victoria due to the climate; however, with the use of the green house the students have the opportunity to try to grow rice. The Year 3/4 students have rice on the menu in the kitchen, this is another way of bringing the program together from seed to kitchen.

We also welcome seven new chickens to Kingswood Primary. These chickens produce the eggs that we use in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen.

As always, we'd like to thank all our volunteers from Term 2 and would like to welcome more volunteers into the garden on Thursdays and Fridays. Please do not hesitate to contact the school with your details if you would like to help. No experience is necessary, students love volunteers.
