Learning Space 3 Juniors

Clinic 1 in Learning Space 3 have been exploring ‘Locational Language’. The students have been using ‘Locational Language’ to give directions. Here we can see the students have created a tower and are giving and following the language to move their teddy under, next to, in front, beside, on top and underneath of the tower. Students have also been exploring 2D shapes. We have been creating shapes and identifying their features.

Our annual Lamont Book Fair is back once again this year !!!!
Our annual Lamont Book Fair is back once again this year !!!!

The Book Fair has always been a big success at SFS, with a percentage of each book purchased given back to the school to redeem in new books for our School Library.

The generosity of families has always been greatly appreciated and I know that children love going home with a new book to read! Children will have the opportunity to view books on the Monday and Tuesday before books are available for purchase on Wednesday 31st March. The Book Fair will be held in the school Community Room and will run from 2pm - 8pm.

Parents, carers and children will be able to pop in BEFORE or AFTER their parent teacher interviews to purchase a book.

We will have a great selection books available this year as well as some great specials on our $5 bargain trolley. So head down to the Community Room on Wednesday 31st, have a browse and buy a book to enjoy. We hope to see you there.

LUNCHTIME SOCCER CLINICS

We are very grateful to St John’s Regional College, who have provided us with the opportunity to have lunchtime soccer clinics, by nominating our school.

Olympiacos Melbourne will be attending our school at 2nd lunch break on Mondays starting from Monday 29th March through until November. They were due to start this week however the coach who was attending was unwell so we look forward to starting next week. They will take 14 students each week and rotate through the grade levels.

Junior students will be first for the first four weeks and then they’ll move onto the seniors. They will be focusing on soccer skills and working collaboratively with others. There will be no cost involved with this program.

JUNIOR BASKETBALL CLINICS

We hope the Juniors have enjoyed their basketball clinics and we are very appreciative of the Sporting School Program that has provided us with the funding to make this possible. Hopefully we will receive additional funding next term and we will have good news shortly being able to announce sport clinics for next term.
