Epidemiologist

An epidemiologist studies how disease is distributed through the community, as well as the causes and initial location of these diseases.  This information is used to evaluate, plan, manage, control, prevent the spread of disease.  An epidemiologist is an influencer, and often has a public voice in working towards controlling and preventing disease, working closely with public health departments.

  • Bachelor of Public Health at Monash University
    VCE requirements: Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 27 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in Maths: Further Mathematics or at least 22 in one of Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics.
