HOLI Celebrations

Quote from two of our children - "This is the best day of my life!"
Huge thanks to Mrs D'Lima for all her work to ensure Holi Celebrations were a total success last Monday.
The weather was kind to us and our whole school was involved for the first time ever.
Holi heralds the arrival of spring after winter - in the Northern Hemisphere where the festival originates from. It signifies the victory of good over evil and is celebrated as a day of spreading happiness and love. The festival is also celebrated as thanksgiving for good harvest.
At Western Heights it is a celebration of fun, colour, and togetherness.
Two little guys came running up to me in the middle of the mayhem and were so full of joy they were literally bouncing up and down. Both told me excitedly it was the best day of their life!
That sums up for me why the time required to get clean afterwards is absolutely worth it.
