Welcome to Term 2 Technology!

This term we have hit the ground running with visits from the Cyber Safety Project Team! Trent, Sam and Jaz have facilitated sessions with our kids, teachers and families to educate and empower our school community to self manage our digital safety and well-being online in this ever changing digital world that we are living in. 

Students learned about personal information, strategies to talk about how they feel when something goes wrong online and who to talk to when they are faced with uncertainty.  

Following this, our kids will continue to engage and learn through the use of technologies this term. Our Grade Preps, 1s and 2s are using devices to collect, display and interpret data. 

Our Grade 3s and 4s will be using devices to research Food Production, as they are completing their Food tech unit for the year. They will also will be regularly visiting the kitchen, to learn cooking skills; considering safety and hygiene.  

Our Grade 5s and 6s will be immersed in learning using their chromebooks and robotic devices too (EV3 Lego robots, Microbits and Ozobots!) We are investigating how devices work and their hardware and software parts too!
