Levels 3 & 4

Level 3 Update
On Wednesday 28 April, the Level 3 students had a visit from Sergeant Aret Muradyan and Senior Constable Bec Thom. Students were highly engaged in the presentation. Students stepped into a day in the life of a police officer learning about the difference between rules and laws, consequences, stranger danger and solving crimes.
Level 4 Update
Marble Maze Races
Last week the boys in Year 4 got together to take part in a STEM challenge. Their challenge was using a classroom table that had been tilted on a slope, they had to use icy-pole sticks and blue tac to create a pathway for their marble to get from the top of their table to the bottom in the longest time possible. They were given 20 minutes to complete their maze. The focus on the activity was for the boys to work together in teams and share ideas and resources together in their teams. We timed some of the best mazes and had some impressive results.
The winning group of Joel, Jack, Ari, Sam, Suleman had a time of 25.5 seconds, which was 2 seconds longer than the next best group of Darius, Sammy, Alastair and Jeremy.
The students were highly engaged in the activity and are looking forward to doing it again when we challenge them to build a maze that takes as close to 15 seconds as possible.
