2021 School Council

A Message from the President
It's fantastic to see that life at JPPS is now very much getting back to a more 'normal' state. A relief no doubt for many families after the unique experience of 2020!
For many parents, the role of School Council and how it works with the school's leadership team may be unclear. In summary, School Council plays an oversight and strategic planning role. This covers things like the School Strategic Plan, engaging suppliers for services, overseeing spending of school funds and representing the school community. The day to day management of the school, and curriculum matters, for example, sit with the school leadership team.
2021 is shaping up to be an exciting year! The redevelopment of the Level 3 classrooms and the extension of the new play spaces around the oval are key School Council projects this year.
If you have any questions or feedback or would like to connect with School Council you can email myself at chris.turner@education.vic.gov.au. Feel free to say 'Hi' if you see any of us around school or at events etc!
