JP Racing Energy Breakthrough Challenge

The 2021 Energy Breakthrough Challenge is underway with nearly 50 Level 6 students interested in participating in the program this year. Students have already begun their own fitness training at home and some have had a practice ride in our HPV’s at Casey Fields during the Holidays. This year, Jells Park will be entering 5 teams, 2 push cart teams and 3 Human Powered Vehicle teams. We have big plans to improve our vehicles this year which include building a new composite fairing out of carbon fibre and Kevlar.

On Saturday 24 April we had our first fundraiser for this year, a sausage sizzle at Scoresby Bunnings. This was a great opportunity for the parents and teachers to connect with each other outside of the school environment.  Thank you to all the parents and staff that also volunteered, it was a fantastic day and we raised just over $1300 which will go towards the improvements of our vehicles!
