ACCIDENT INSURANCE 

If a student is injured at school or during a school organised activity it is the responsibility of parents/carers to cover the cost of all medical treatment and transport via ambulance to a medical facility/hospital. The Department of Education does not provide accident insurance cover, but do advise that there are a number of commercial insurers in the marketplace if parents are interested in obtaining this sort of protection. 

STATE SCHOOLS’ RELIEF

Prep CSEF Uniform Package 2021

Applications for the Prep CSEF Uniform Package begin on Monday 19th April 2021 (first day of Term 2).

What you need to know:

• State Schools’ Relief is a not-for-profit organisation that works closely with all government schools across Victoria. Each year State Schools’ Relief provides assistance to families experiencing financial disadvantage with school uniforms and footwear.
• State Schools’ Relief provides uniform packages to families eligible to receive CSEF funding.
• Prep students for 2021 that are recipients of the Camps, Sports and Excursion Fund (CSEF) automatically qualify for the uniform package and/or voucher.

The 2021 package contains the following items:

• 1 x Rugby Top or Hooded / Windcheater or Jacket (Bomber/Polar Fleece) or Long Sleeve Polo
• 1 x Tracksuit Pants or Trousers or Pants
• 1 x Pair of Shoes (Lace Up or T-Bar or Runner/Sneaker) - Shoes must be requested in UK sizes (contact school for the shoe sizing chart)

Applications are made through the school. Please refrain from contacting State Schools’ Relief directly as staff are unable to accept applications directly from families. Should you have any questions, or wish to apply for assistance, please contact the school office.

FREE CRIME PREVENTION KITS

The local police station have contacted the school and are keen to distribute Crime Prevention Kits to any interested families. If you are interested please contact the school via email ripponlea.ps@education.vic.gov.au.
