House Netball

Week 1 -

Game 1 - Wandarra (Blue) V Taltarni (Red)

Wednesday's game started with many early goals from both sides and this was a good sign of things to come. In the first half both sides played very well, with notable goal shooters, Flick Stares and Toby Wheeler for Taltarni and Macey Howlett for Wandarra, who all scored multiple goals early on. The second half was more of the same with Matilda Venes scoring a goal, alongside MVP for blue Macy Howlett. Wandarra's Lily Peacock worked hard in defence, trying to restrict a further influx of goals by the red crew, but ultimately Taltarni's first half efforts saw them take the honours.

Final scores: Taltarni 12 def Wandarra 9

Game 2 - Kambara (Green) v Tanaranga (Yellow)

The first half began with some brilliant passing from Yellow, which was described as 'God's work' by Zarie Tiley. Yellow House's start was good despite Annie Kehoe making multiple intercepts in defence for Green House. Meanwhile, Green House held their own, with Reagan strong in attack, while their defence held fast against many charges from the opposition. It was an interesting first half as with Yellow House ended up with multiple violations. By the second half, Yellow House had clearly recovered, taking command and moving the ball easily between players. Annie was busy working overtime in defence for Kambara, but Yellow's persistence saw them shoot yet another goal (with Mr. Tatchell cheering loudly on the sideline). For the remainder of the game, Yellow House remained relentless in their attack, causing some people to comment that the second half was 'one sided'. Despite this, both sides put in an outstanding effort, with the game finishing in a draw.
